The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested three suspected human traffickers involved in sending four men from Gujranwala and Wazirabad to Turkey in exchange for a significant sum of money.

Upon arrival, the men were reportedly abducted by Kurdish pirates, who demanded a ransom of Rs2 million for each individual.

During a press conference on Tuesday, FIA Deputy Director Khalid Anees revealed that the victims, Zeeshan, Usman, and Abid from the Dhulley area, along with Adeel from Wazirabad, had approached Afzaal Ahmad to arrange their journey to Greece.

Ahmad, along with two accomplices, accepted an initial payment of Rs600,000 from the four men and promised to collect the remaining sum from their families.

The men eventually reached Turkey’s border, where they were introduced to Wasim Butt, an agent who had been residing in Turkey for years and worked on behalf of Ahmad.
