MUMBAI: Veteran actress Farida Jalal refuted the rumors about her death which became headlines on social media on Sunday evening.
A Facebook page reported the rumor that Jalal passed away. The news became viral within minutes and received thousands of shares on social media websites.

However, the news turned out to be a hoax and the actress confirmed that she was “hale and hearty”.
She said, “I don’t know from where these baseless rumors are coming from. Initially, I laughed but from last 30 minutes my phone has been constantly ringing and everybody is asking the same question.”
Jalal will be seen along side Imran Khan in the upcoming film Sargoshiyan.
