KARACHI: The federal government on Thursday announced the early disbursement of salaries for all employees ahead of the Eidul Adha, ARY News reported.

Addressing a National Assembly session today, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said the government will release salaries for the month of June in advance to all serving government servants on account of Eidul Adha.

“Salaries will be disbursed latest by June 23,” he announced.

Pertinently, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) earlier this month predicted that Eidul Azda will likely fall on Thursday, 29 June, based on their forecast for the sighting of the Dhul-Hajj moon.

According to the statement, the moon will be born on June 18 at 9:37pm which could be sighted on June 19.

It is worth mentioning here that the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meets on the 29th of every Islamic month and makes the announcement after sighting the moon.
