The election commission has communicated with the Ministry of Finance for payment of the local government election expenses, sources said.
The finance ministry has replied positively to the ECP. But the election body has been informed that the amount will not be paid in one go but in two to three installments, sources further said.
According to sources, the amount will be spent on local government and Cantonment Board elections across the country.
