DSP suspended over police ads about missing persons allegedly picked by ‘unknown Rangers’

According to ARY News, Inspector General Police Sindh has suspended the concerned DSP for issuing these advertisements and ordered inquiry of the incident.

The police issued advertisements in local dailies seeking assistance from general public in tracing six missing persons allegedly picked up by unknown Rangers personnel from Orangi Town of Karachi.

The advertisements each titled `announcement’ carried photographs of the missing persons said that unidentified Rangers men had picked them appealing general public to share information about the missing persons if anyone had any so that their recovery could be made possible.

The public has been appealed to inform the police if any person had any information about the missing persons.

IG Sindh has suspended DSP Orangi Town Fakhrul Islam and set up a committee under AIG CTD Sanaullah Abbassi to inquire into the matter.
