The FIR submitted to the customs special judge idenitifies three persons as Mohammad Arif heading M/s Nival International, the company that owned the consignment containing donkey hides, Nasir Mehmood, clearing agent of M/s Export Services, and Mohammad Ibrahim Aqa, who got the container released for export.
According to company’s documents, the Nival International (which got the goods cleared from the animal quarantine department of Lahore) has its office in the Zohra Ismail building on Frere Road, Karachi.
According to reports, the animals are reportedly slaughtered to get an unblemished skin that sells between Rs18,000 and Rs20,000.
