Iran Israel war ceasefire, Donald Trump US

WASHINGTON: United States (US) President Donald Trump hinted at joining the Israel-Iran war.

According to an off-camera conversation with senior American journalist Rachel Scott, President Donald Trump stated that while the United States is not currently involved in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, it may be drawn in depending on the situation.

Trump remarked, “It’s possible the US could get involved in the Israel-Iran war, especially if our enemies push too far,” adding that American military engagement cannot be ruled out.

He praised Russian President Vladimir Putin’s efforts to mediate the conflict, calling Russia’s role in facilitating a ceasefire “commendable.”

Donald Trump also confirmed that nuclear negotiations with Iran are ongoing.

“Following Israel’s recent strikes, there is hope that Iran might now agree to a nuclear deal,” he said, expressing cautious optimism about a potential diplomatic breakthrough.

Earlier, Iran and Israel will have peace “soon”, US. President Donald Trump said in a social media post on Sunday, adding that there were many unspecified meetings happening and that the two countries should make a deal.

Israel and Iran launched fresh attacks on each other overnight into Sunday, killing scores.

“Iran and Israel should make a deal, and will make a deal,” Trump said on Truth Social, adding that “we will have PEACE, soon.”

Trump did not offer any details about the meetings or evidence of progress toward peace. His assertion contradicted comments by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who said on Saturday that Israel’s campaign against Iran would intensify.
