LAHORE: A brawl broke out between the Lahore Services Hospital’s staffers and relatives of a patient early Tuesday morning, leaving one person dead while another injured, ARY News reported.
Police said a dispute between a lady doctor and the family members of a patient admitted to the gynecology ward broke out, which later intensified with both sides coming to blows after exchanging harsh words.
Security guards and the relatives of the patient indulged in fighting, resulting in life-threatening injuries to the patient’s brother and a security guard, said a police official.
The injured patient’s brother died of injuries later, while the wounded security guard, according to hospital staff, is in a critical condition. The deceased was identified as Nawaz who was serving as constable in Motorway Police, the police official said.
The police have registered a first information report of the incident and began investigation into the matter to fix responsibility for the violent brawl.
