ISLAMABAD: Congratulating Pakistani nation on the Defence Day, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing on Thursday said China will continue supporting Pakistan in safeguarding its sovereignty and ensuring its national security.
On the 53rd anniversary of the 1965 war, the nation celebrated the Defence and Martyrs Day today to pay homage to the Shaheed and Ghazis who stood as solid wall to defend the motherland against the aggression of enemy.
Earlier, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa along with his wife visited family of Shaheed Police Sub Inspector Abbas at his home.
The army chief lauded their great sacrifice for the nation.
“There isn’t any other sacrifice greater than one’s life. Our lives are dedicated to Pakistan,” he said.
