KARACHI: A customs department team on Friday raided the office of General Post Office and seized a parcel with a heroin concealed in it, ARY News reported.
According to officials, the parcel was about to be sent to Spain. A man named Farmanullah had submitted the parcel from Peshawar, and it had to be delivered to recipient Javid Williams in Spain. The sender had concealed a quantity of heroin in a flower vase.
The customs team has seized the parcel and issued orders to arrest the sender immediately.

The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) had also recently foiled a smuggling attempt at the Jinnah International Airport and arrested a man. A passenger named Mir Muhammad was boarding a foreign airline when he was caught by ANF officials for carrying packets of heroin in his luggage. The arrested man was heading to Saudi Arabia.
The man was caught smuggling drugs during screening of his bags.
According to officials, the value of the drugs was worth millions of rupees in the international market.
The ANF spokesperson said the passenger had been detained and further investigation from him was underway.
Earlier this month, the Anti-Narcotic Force personnel had foiled a bid to smuggle drugs to Italy while taking action at Faisalabad airport. According to ANF spokesperson, officials recovered seven kilograms of heroin worth Rs60 million in the international market during the raid conducted at Faisalabad airport.
