KOHAT: Two policemen were gunned down in Kohat by unknown assailants on Monday, ARY News reported citing the law enforcement agency.
According to details, the martyred cops who were identified as Ghulam Mustafa and Zahid Rahman, lost their lives in a firing incident by unidentified individuals.
A heavy police contingent was dispatched to the scene, and a search operation has been launched to apprehend the perpetrators.
The motive behind the attack remains unknown, and an investigation is underway.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the killing of the policemen and paid tribute to the martyrs. He expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyred policemen and praised the sacrifices of KP police personnel in the fight against terrorism .

Earlier on December 16, a policeman was killed and a polio worker was injured in an attack by unknown assailants in the Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa’ Karak area
According to details, the policeman was guarding a team conducting anti-polio drive in the Banda Dawood Shah area of Karak.
