Chaudhry Rashid who was sacked by the president as the chief of PEMRA in April last year over alleged irregularities.
Rashid had challenged his termination of services in the court, which on Monday reinstated him.
Chaudhry Rashid, a former information and broadcasting secretary, was appointed as Pemra chairman for four years during the Pakistan Peoples Party government in Jan 2013.
The PML-N government had terminated Chaudhry Rashid in December 2013 but the IHC had stayed his termination and reinstated him as Pemra chairman.
