ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to launch a coordinated operation against militants in the country, ARY News reported on Wednesday.

A meeting on national security chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has decided to utilize all resources for the security of the country.

The authorities reached to a decision for a coordinated operation against extremists  in North Waziristan, Karachi and Balochistan, sources said.

According to well placed sources, the civilian and military leadership of the country has agreed over the decision after recent attack on Karachi airport by Taliban militants. The authorities have vowed to utilize all resources for the security of the country, sources said.

The meeting was attended by Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, Director General ISI Lt. Gen. Zaheerul Islam, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and other top officials  discussed the situation in FATA, Karachi and Balochista.
