Lijian said that out of 30 initial economic corridor projects, several will be completed by 2018 whereas hydel power projects will become operational by year 2020.
The Chinese diplomat said that 70% of the development work on the coal power power project in Sahiwal has been completed. He added that power generation from the first unit of the project will commence from June 2017.
Lijian went on to say that the Sukkur to Multan section of Karachi to Islamabad Motorway will create 10,000 jobs in the country.
He added that that Pakistan’s economy has improved due to the economic corridor.
