Child dies, six injured in Rawalpindi gas blast

A child died on the spot and six members of a family including two children were injured after gas leakage from a geaser in a house of Mangtal area in Rawalpindi caused loud explosion.

The personnel of rescue service 1122 transferred the injured to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad for medical attendance.

Two children and a woman among the injured said to be in a precarious condition.

Six incidents of gas leakage and cylinder blasts have been reported recently after the mercury goes down in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

The residents of the city saying that they were forced to use gas cylinders due to the worst load shedding of gas in the region.
