The All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) on Monday said that the collective consumption of cement across Pakistan stood at 3.795 million tons, registering a decline of 24.19 per cent in March 2023 as construction activities slow down, ARY News reported on Monday.
As per the data released by APCMA, local cement sales by the industry during the month of March were 3.356 million tons compared to 4.710 million tons in March 2022, registering a decline of 24.19 per cent.
While in March 2023, the cement exports were 438,000 tons.
During the first nine months of the current fiscal year, total cement sales (domestic and exports) stood at 33.6 million tons, down overall [domestic and exports] were registered 50.02 per cent.
