The cell phone services will remain suspended in the twin cities from 6am to 2pm.
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority said the decision had been taken as a security measure for Pakistan Day parade.
The law enforcement agencies have already put in place heavy security cover for Pakistan Day parade in Islamabad, which is being held after a gap of seven years.
