According to details, a case against Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri has been filed in Data Darbar Police Station under section 7 of Anti Terrorism Act (ATA), Section 506 of Pakistan Penal Code- PPC and several other Sections with the case number 304-14.
The case has been registered on the appeal of a citizen named Khurshid, sources said. It is expected that case against Chairman PAT will be registered in all those where Qadri’s speech was heard.
MQM Condemns
Senior Deputy Convener of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Rabitta Committee (RC) Nadeem Nusrat has strongly condemned the Punjab government’s decision of registering case against Dr. Allama Tahir-ul-Qadri.
Nadeem Nusrat said that it may incite the peaceful people of Punjab. He advised government to solve issues with dialogues and understanding instead of power.
Senior Deputy Convener of MQM RC said that government’s tactics to sabotage PAT ‘s Youm-e-Shuhada will harm country.
Nadeem Nusrat has appealed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to withdraw the case against Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri on immediate basis.
