Case registered against MQM leader Amir Khan for “patronizing criminal elements”

The case against Amir Khan and six others was registered at Azizabad police station. According to sources, the key MQM leader was charged with patronizing criminals and the case was registered in the presence of Rangers.

In the case, besides Amir Khan, six others have been booked namely Ubaid K-2, Raees Mama, Noman Nomi, Qazi Asad Minhaj, Shahazad Mullah and Imran Ijaz Niazi.

Amir Khan had been arrested in a raid conducted by Rangers on MQM’s headquarters in Azizabad. It must be kept in mind that the raid conducted by Rangers on 11th March, several people had been arrested and weapons in large quantity were also seized. As many as 20 people had been arrested in the operation, including alleged target killers and criminals. Faisal Mota, Nadir Shah, Ubaid and Farhan Shabbir had been arrested from Nine Zero. Faisal Mota was the prime suspect in the Wali Khan Babar murder case and has been sentenced to hang by the court.
