Bushra Bibi gets bail in Kohsar Police Station case

ISLAMABAD: Bushra Bibi, the wife of former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman, was granted bail in the Kohsar Police Station case, ARY News reported on Monday.

According to the details, the additional session judge Tahir Abbas Supra heard Bushra Bibi’s bail plea in Islamabad’s session court and accepted her bail until July 4 in the Kohsar Police Station case.

The session court approved bail for PTI chairman wife Bushra Bibi and directed her to submit a surety bond of Rs. 10,000.

It is pertinent to mention here that the former first lady was booked in a case at Kohsar police station, Islamabad under the provisions of fraud among other charges.

In the petition, PTI chairman’s wife maintained that she wants to join the investigation in the Toshakhana case registered at Kohsar police station.

It is feared that the police will arrest the petitioner, hence the court should grant her protective bail, the plea stated.

Meanwhile, the Lahore High Court has fixed Her protective bail application for hearing.
