ABBOTTABAD: A boy died and his sister was critically injured after an avalanche fell on them in Thandyani, a tourist spot near Abbottabad, ARY News reported on Thursday.
The tragedy occurred on Patan Road where a man, Ashraf, was hoofing it with his two children towards Abbottabad, when an avalanche fell on them.
Following shouts from the children, local people reached the spot and rescued them, however a boy, Zaheer, died on the spot while her sister, Sana, was moved to Nazeer Shaheed Hospital Abbotabad in a critical condition.
Father of the children could not be traced so far. No administrative official could reach the spot.
