KOHAT: At least 10 people were killed and over a dozen injured as a planted roadside bomb went off near Peshawar Chowk, Kohat on Sunday, ARY News reported.
However, Inspector General Police Khyber Pakhtonkhwa Nasir Durrani told ARY News that a blast occurred near Hangu Road. He said the blast occurred when a suzuki van reached the road and explosives planted along the street went off. He said a passing rickshaw and a vehicle were also affected in the blast.
Police said a 5-kg explosives were used in the blast.
Injured and the dead have been shifted to nearby hospitals in Kohat and Peshawar.
Hospital sources said several injured persons are in critical condition.
