Pakistanis are wondering whether Bilawal’s press conference on Thursday outside the Parliament House in Islamabad was ‘fixed’ as the PPP chairman was apparently told to take question from a specific reporter.
The video of the press conference shows PPP leaders Nafisa Shah, Sherry Rahman, and Naz Baloch taking the name of a reporter from a specific media house so that he may present his question before Mr Bhutto Zardari.
When Bilawal’s attention was derived by the leaders that flanked him to the specific reporter, Bilawal could be seen asking, “Who is Arshad; Arshad Bhai?”, referring to the reporter.
When the reporter finished asking the question, Bilawal responded by looking at the paper in front of him at the daice, giving the impression that both the question and its answer were pre-planned.
Social media users called out Bilawal and questioned the entire saga, asking whether the press conference was a ‘planted’ attempt to malign the state institutions.
