Bilawal Bhutto to launch election campaign on Karsaz bombing anniversary

PPP all set to hold foundation day rally in Quetta

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has decided to hold a power show on October 18 (Karsaz massacre) which will be addressed by party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari via video link, ARY News reported.

According to sources, the former foreign minister’s speech would be broadcast live across the country.

In this connection, the party has directed representatives to finalise arrangements to show a live broadcast of chairman’s address in all divisional headquarters.

Furthermore, it has been directed to all ticket holders, allied wings, local organisations and workers to ensure their presence for the October 18 public rallies.

Sources claimed Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will also announce the election strategy in the address to the workers.

Earlier, the party chairman constituted provincial parliamentary boards of the party for the general election in January next year.

PPP chairman has formed separate parliamentary boards for the four provinces of the country. The parliamentary boards will decide about the People’s Party candidates for general elections.

Each province’s parliamentary board will recommend candidate to Bilawal Bhutto for the party ticket, who will decide on the recommendation.

The PPP parliamentary board of Central Punjab is comprised of Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Chaudhry Manzoor, Hassan Murtaza, Rana Farooq Saeed, Faisal Saleh Hayat and others.
