Manama, Bahrain — The Pakistani Mission in Bahrain came together with great enthusiasm to celebrate the 78th anniversary of Pakistan’s independence. A vibrant and festive atmosphere filled the Mission’s premises, where a large number of Pakistani families and children gathered for the official flag-hoisting ceremony.
The event, which began with the national flag being raised, included reading messages from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister. This was followed by an address from the Ambassador. Attendees also watched a documentary about Marka-i-Haq and explored a special photo exhibition showcasing equipment like aircraft, missiles, and cyber security tools used during Operation Bunyan un Marsoos. The exhibition highlighted the unwavering resolve of Pakistan’s civilian and military leaders throughout the operation.
Beyond the official ceremony, the Pakistani community organized various celebratory events across Bahrain, with many Bahraini nationals joining the festivities. The Mission played a key role in coordinating and participating in these events, ensuring a widespread celebration of Pakistani achievements during Operation Bunyan un Marsoos.
The occasion also received official recognition from Bahrain’s leadership. His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad AL Khalifa, and other high-ranking officials extended their congratulations to Pakistan.
In a show of bilateral support, leading Bahraini newspapers, The Daily Tribune and Gulf Daily News, published special supplements to mark the anniversary. These supplements featured congratulatory messages from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Ambassador.
