    What is Dogecoin (DOGE)?

Dogecoin (DOGE) is a type of cryptocurrency, a digital form of money. It was launched in December 2013 by Jackson Palmer, an Australian software developer, and Billy Markus, a programmer from Portland, Oregon, as a fun idea during a casual chat.

Featuring the Shiba Inu dog from the “Doge” meme, it quickly evolved from a joke to a legitimate digital asset with a vibrant community and real-world use cases.

In July 2025, Dogecoin saw significant volatility, with its lowest rate recorded at ₨. 44.57 and the highest peaking at ₨. 81.43, indicating a strong bullish trend mid-month. Analysts attribute this surge to increased whale activity and speculation around a potential Dogecoin ETF approval.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Junaid Akbar has submitted his resignation from the position of Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee to Aamir Dogar, the party’s Chief Whip in the National Assembly.

Junaid Akbar maintained that he has resigned from both the chairmanship of the PAC and the Energy Committee, following the directives of PTI founder Imran Khan.

Junaid Akbar also mentioned that PTI MNA Suhail Sultan has resigned from his positions in the standing committees as well. Suhail Sultan stepped down from the Law & Justice, Water Resources, and SAFRON committees.

He added that Suhail Sultan has submitted his resignations to the party.

Aamir Dogar confirmed that, as per Imran Khan’s instructions, committee members are stepping down, and MNAs are also sending their resignations to Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq.

PTI founder Imran Khan directed party lawmakers to resign from all parliamentary committees, his sister, Aleema Khan, said on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media outside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail after meeting her brother, Aleema Khan said that the former prime minister directed PTI lawmakers to quit all standing committees of the National Assembly.

Aleema Khan maintained that all of Imran Khan’s sisters got to meet him in jail after four months. About Imran Khan, she said that the PTI founder was in good health; however, ‘he was feeling a bit of pressure on his eye’.

Once again, the pharma industry has proved that it does not just manufacture medicine, it manufactures HOPE and RESILIENCE.

In a powerful show of solidarity and resilience, Pakistan’s pharmaceutical industry, under the umbrella of the Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA), has donated Rs. 40 million worth of medicines and essential supplies to flood-affected families in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

This initiative comes in direct response to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s appeal for private-sector support amid the devastating floods. According to DRAP and the federal ministry of health, the donated stock was carefully selected after studying prevailing disease outbreaks in the affected regions.

The relief includes a wide spectrum of life-saving and supportive treatments:

    • Antibiotics for children suffering diarrhoeal diseases
    • Anti-malarialsfor patients in stagnant water zones
    • Oral rehydration salts & IV fluids for dehydrated victims
    • Respiratory medicines for viral infections
    • Analgesics, antiseptics, antifungals, surgical supplies, PPEs, and diagnostic kits

Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal hailed the pharma sector’s generosity:
“This is not just corporate responsibility; this is Pakistan standing together. When the government’s resources are stretched, the pharmaceutical industry steps in to fill the gaps.”

Once again, the pharma industry has proved that it does not just manufacture medicine, it manufactures HOPE and RESILIENCE.

PPMA Chairman Tauqeer-ul-Haq stressed that the industry considers such actions a duty, not a choice.
“We have always been there during floods, famines, and conflicts. Our medicines have reached to Pakistan’s flood-hit families, across Khyber Pakhtoonkhua and Gilgit Baltistatn”

Health experts warn that the risk of secondary outbreaks — measles, cholera, pneumonia looms large if medicines and hygiene interventions are not sustained over the coming months.

Despite these challenges, officials affirmed that provincial health departments are distributing the medicines equitably across district hospitals and mobile health units.

The donation also highlights a bigger truth: Pakistan’s pharmaceutical sector, which already meets over 70% of domestic drug needs and exports worldwide, is a pillar of national strength in times of crisis.

Once again, the pharma industry has proved that it does not just manufacture medicine — it manufactures hope and resilience.

Pakistan coach addresses drop in Shaheen Afridi’s pace

Pakistan bowling coach Ashley Noffke has addressed the recent dip in the form and pace of Shaheen Afridi ahead of the Asia Cup 2025.

The left-arm pacer has found it challenging to bowl at speeds of his earlier career days since he battled a back issue in 2023.

However, Pakistan bowling coach Ashley Noffke has high hopes for the 25-year-old to find his best form in the Asia Cup 2025.

“In terms of pace, he is aware it has dropped and he has experienced a dip in form,” Noffke said ahead of Pakistan’s tri-series with hosts UAE and Afghanistan.

“Recovering pace takes time, but we’re building nicely now. We’ve started seeing more balls in the 140km/h range during the West Indies series. He’s definitely on his way back and his confidence is growing,” the Pakistan coach added.

According to Noffke, the left-arm seamer was close to regain his best form and the ability to hit speeds close to 150km/h.

Shaheen Afridi will once again lead the Pakistan pace battery in the Asia Cup 2025 after the conclusion of the tri-series.

The eight-team continental tournament is scheduled to commence on September 9.

Following the Asia Cup 2025, Pakistan will compete in the T20 World Cup for a second title.

Ahead of the two global tournaments, Ashley Noffke said that Shaheen Afridi was making all efforts to swing the new ball.

“I think swing can be influenced by the environment and conditions on the day. The ball sometimes swings and sometimes doesn’t. From my perspective, he (Afridi) won’t swing the ball every game, but we want him to work on that ability to swing the ball,” he added.
