According to details, police nabbed a suspect named Qaisar alias Lalu from Zaman Town who was said to be associated with a political party. Officials told that Qaisar was allegedly involved in target killing of seven people.
In another raid in Saudabad area, police apprehended Khalid alias Badaam, who was wanted for the killing of 12 people including a policeman and extortion demanding.
The law enforcers also arrested another ‘target killer’ Faisal Ansari from Saeedabad neighborhood of city, who was accused of killing 11 citizens.
During the raids, officials also seized weapons and hand grenades from arrested suspects.
Holding a press conference here, Chaudhry Nisar lamented that in the past people’s names were put on the ECL on political basis, but now a person will be barred from leaving the country only upon court’s recommendation, for a period of one to three years.
He also said that only those facing security threats will be allowed to purchase a bullet-proof vehicle.
The minister vowed to change the procedure of issuing of arms licenses, which according to him should be under Nadra’s supervision.
Nisar also said that the government has not yet given license to any security company, adding that several such companies have recruited criminals in their folds.

Tanzila and Saba both were students of MA and shared a strong bond. Last night, Tanzila went to Saba’s home, where both the girls had dinner together and went to sleep in the courtyard.
In the morning, the family was shocked to see the dead bodies of both the girls inside a room, despite that they had slept in the courtyard.
The writing on the arms of Tanzila and Saba asked for burying them in the same graveyard adjacent to Narowal Railway Station.
According to police, the hand writing on the arms of both the deceased girls was same, while the bodies bore no torture marks.

Apparently, no signs of suicide were found, which has led to several suspicions about the incident.
Officials said the cause of their death and other facts could only be established after the post-mortem report.
According to details, Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC) Manzoor Ahmed Malik administered oath to the new governor during the ceremony held today.
In his word with media after the ceremony, Rafique Rajwana said that his appointment as the governor Punjab has charged him with a heavy responsibility.
He vowed to fulfill his duties honestly and to serve the people remaining within the constitutional bounds.
He said that his governorship will help ending the sense of deprivation among the people of South Punjab.
Governor Rajwana also thanked his party leadership for trusting him for such a key post.
