According to details, the explosion took place near a police mobile at Quetta’s Saryab Road.
A policeman lost his life in the blast whereas five others, including two policemen, sustained injuries.
Law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area. The road was also closed for all kinds of traffic after the incident.
Investigation teams collected evidences from the crime scene.
Rescue teams shifted the wounded persons to a medical facility for treatment of their injuries.
It should be noted that a policeman was killed and two others injured in a suicide blast during Eid prayers in Shikarpur’s Khanpur tehsil this morning.
