The tragic incident occurred in Ahmedpur Sharqia tehsil of Bahawalpur district in Punjab, said police officials.
While giving more details of the accident, they added the truck collided with the passenger bus coming from the opposite direction on the national highway near Ishaq petroleum as a result of which six people died on the spot.
Soon after the incident, rescue officials reached the site and shifted dead and injured to the nearest hospitals.
Meanwhile, police have also started an investigation into the matter after registering a First Information Report (FIR).
