According to details, the blast was carried out by a remote controlled device due to which 14 people were injured.
The blast was heard in the far flung areas of the city while windows of nearby buildings shattered due to the impact of the explosion.
Rescue teams arrived at the scene and shifted the wounded to Jinnah Hospital where two of the cops succumbed to their injuries.
Hospital spokeswoman Dr. Seemi Jamali has said that an emergency has been declared in the medical facility.
Police stated that the explosives were planted on a motorcycle. The law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and launched its investigation of the incident.
