KARACHI: Former president Asif Ali Zardari says he is observing that ‘some people’ are hatching a conspiracy against him, ARY News reported.

Addressing his party workers in Nawabshah, the PPP’s co-chairperson said he would remain firm and face all the plots being designed against him.

He claimed that if disbursing jobs among the masses was his mistake, he would continue doing so.

The PPP leader was of the view that government officials and ministers were afraid of strict laws enacted by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

‘Look at the surging rate of dollar and recall where it was actually before,” Zardari said while hitting out at the government.

The PPP chairperson has been expressing concerns over his unfair treatment which he described as persecution. In his presser a week ago, Zardari claimed that he was being “attacked from all sides” and his friends were being arrested.

“I am being attacked from all sides and now I’ve realized that the quarrel was about the 18th Amendment,” he said.

He also said that he or his party were not ‘interested’ in toppling the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
