The residents and troops were full of high spirits and resolve, said Director General Inter-Services Public Relations Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa.

According to DG ISPR, the COAS said repeated Indian cease fire violations on Working Boundary and Line of Control in recent past were distractions for Pakistan from campaign against terrorism, thus affecting the regional stability.

The Army Chief was briefed on the latest border situation.

“Let there be no doubt that any provocation along LOC and Working Boundary will meet a befitting response,” COAS said.

He expressed solidarity with villagers affected by Indian violations.
