‘APC’ demands Sindh representation in census commission

The ‘APC’ was attended by the leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and other political and religious parties.

According to joint statement, the meeting said that previous census showed less population in Sindh.

It said the issue of census will be raised in the Council of Common Interest meeting. The participants said census commission should have equal representation of all provinces.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said “We will try to control Sindh population.”

“ Sindh was ignored during the 1998 census, now we should get our right.”

He said no compromise would be made on Sindh interests.
