LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain congratulated Lieutenant General Raheel Sharif and Lieutenant General Rashid Mehmood for being appointed as the new Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee (CJCSC) on Wednesday, ARY News reports.
While issuing a statement, MQM Chief said that the state defense is the first in the list of internal and external threats to the country. He added that a huge responsibility lies on the shoulders of the Pakistan military leadership.
He prayed that Pakistan Army continues to defend the country with responsibility and devotion under the new leadership
