According to a Pakistan army statement on Saturday Adnan el Shukrijuma was killed in Shin Warsak area of South Waziristan tribal region in early morning.
Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) in its statement said Shukrijuma had fled from North Waziristan to the area to hide in a compound due to the Operation Zarb-i-Azb.
According to ISPR his accomplice and local facilitator were also killed in the raid.
Adnan el Shukrijuma was said to be a member of the core leadership of Al Qaeda and was in charge of the external operations of the group. A soldier was also killed and another injured in the operation.
