ISLAMABAD: A bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday declared the government notification to remove NADRA chairman Tariq Malik as null and void, ARY News reported.
Tariq Malik had resigned from the post of Chairman National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) on January 10 citing personal reasons.
The IHC bench had reserved its verdict prior to Malik’s resignation.
The government had removed Malik on the night of December 3 and appointed a new chairman. However, the IHC had provided him relief and restored him on interim basis.
