Therefore the first of Rabi-ul-Awwal will fall on 24th December 2014 and the holy festival of Eid-e-Milad will be celebrated on 4th January.

Milad is celebrated on 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal every year.

The committee chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman announced that the decision is taken after consultation by four zonal committees of Pakistan’s moon sighting authority.
