ISLAMABAD: Special Court hearing  treason trial against former president General Pervez Musharraf resumed hearing of the case in Islamabad, ARY News reported on Thursday.

The bench headed by Justice Faisal Arab reserved its decision on the medical report of Pervez Musharraf and will announce its ruling at 2:00 pm today. Earlier, the lawyers completed their arguments over the report. 

The court will also give its ruling over application of the criminal procedure code on the case today. 

The medical report of Musharraf was submitted in the court Tuesday. 

Veteran lawyer Sharifuddin Pirzada, representing Musharraf, gave his arguments over the medical report. In his arguments Pirzada said that forcing an ailing person to give statement in court is equal to torture. 

Chief Prosecutor Akram Shaikh said that the medical report doesn't say that Musharraf could not appear before the court. 

Pervez Musharraf facing treason charges against him for proclamation of emergency in Year 2007. 

The motorcade of former military ruler of Pakistan was diverted to the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology on January 2, while on his way to the  court for treason trial, after the former president complained chest pain.
