ISLAMABAD: Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, President of Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q), has said that the treason case against the former Army Chief and President of Pakistan General (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf is retaliation and a misstep by the Federal Government of Pakistan, ARY News reports.
Speaking to ARY News here on Wednesday, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that the world traitor should be explained. He added that the supporters of the enemies of Pakistan are traitors and should be hanged four times.
Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain claimed that the country comes first than the constitution. He added that the constitution is not a toy that can be broken any time. PML-Q Chairman said that the treason trial should start from 12th October 1999 and should hold everyone accountable. He further said that Musharraf imposed emergency after consulting everyone including himself.
He claimed that the Government is trying to turn the attention of the masses away from the grave national issues and will not achieve anything from the case.
