A spokesman of PTI has said that the election commission could not become independent with appointment of the CEC.
The spokesman demanded appointment of the four provincial members of the ECP with mutual agreement.
The Leader of the Opposition Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah earlier contacted with PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi and discussed with him the names for the appointment of CEC.
Qureshi said that the PTI Chairman Imran Khan appreciates all three honorable judges.
