Ishaq Dar, Uzbek FM discuss bilateral, regional matters

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar on Thursday held a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov.

During the conversation, the two leaders discussed a range of bilateral and regional matters of mutual interest.

They exchanged views on the agenda for the upcoming meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM), scheduled to take place in Istanbul from 21–22 July.

The two leaders also agreed to meet on the sidelines of the OIC CFM.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Ishaq Dar, had a telephonic conversation with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, ARY News reported.

During the call, both leaders condemned Israel’s aggression and attacks on Iran, expressing that they were unjustified. They also addressed the escalating regional situation.

The discussion also emphasised Pakistan’s stance on the Palestine issue, highlighting the requirement for an independent Palestinian state.

According to the sources, both leaders reiterated their commitment to diplomatic collaboration. They agreed to arrange the summons of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s (OIC) ministers’ meeting in Istanbul in the coming week.
