ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Ishaq Dar, had a telephonic conversation with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, ARY News reported.
During the call, both leaders condemned Israel’s aggression and attacks on Iran, expressing that they were unjustified. They also addressed the escalating regional situation.
The discussion also emphasised Pakistan’s stance on the Palestine issue, highlighting the requirement for an independent Palestinian state.
According to the sources, both leaders reiterated their commitment to diplomatic collaboration. They agreed to arrange the summons of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s (OIC) ministers’ meeting in Istanbul in the coming week.
Ishaq Dar is designated to represent Pakistan at this meeting. During the meeting, the focus will be on the stability of the region and collaboration.
Additionally, Ishaq Dar will also take part in the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum, where Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will be honoured for his contributions.
Both leaders agreed to maintain close diplomatic contact in the upcoming days.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Ishaq Dar said that 450 Pakistani pilgrims from Iran has been completed.
Ishaq Dar, who has also been the foreign minister, in a tweet said that steps being taken for return of the Pakistani students staying in Iran.
He said that in the first phase 154 students will return back to home.
DPM also said that the Pakistani embassy in Baghdad, has been in contact with the Pakistani pilgrims stranded in Iraq. He said steps are being taken for the safe stay of Pakistani pilgrims and their return to home, who have been stranded in Iraq owing to the closure of the country’s airspace.
He said the foreign ministry’s crisis management unit has been working around the clock.
Earlier, in a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the brotherly country after Israel’s aggression.
