KARACHI: Met Office has forecast dust storm/thunderstorm with rain in various districts of Sindh, Baluchistan and South Punjab under the influence of a westerly wave.
Heatwave conditions are likely to subside over most parts of the country from 01st May onwards.
Dust and thunderstorm with rain is expected in Sindh’s Sukkur, Mirpur Khas, Khairpur, Thar Parkar, Sanghar, Umer Kot districts, Baluchistan’s Zhob, Khuzdar, Musakhel and Barkhan and southern Punjab’s Multan, DG Khan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, from 02nd to 05th May.
Met office informed that a westerly wave is likely to approach upper parts of the country on 30th April’s evening. Moist currents are also likely to penetrate northeast Punjab from 01st May.
Rainfall with wind or thunderstorm is expected in Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Punjab under the influence of the weather system from 30th April to 04th May with occasional gaps a weather report of Pakistan Meteorological Department said.

Met Office has forecast another hot day in the metropolis with mercury expected to soar to 39 Celsius today. Feel-like temperature could go above 39 Celsius.
Strong winds are also expected in Karachi in afternoon as the weather will remain hot and humid in the city.
