Over 100 Lahore policemen dismissed over refusal of duty

LAHORE: Police authorities here said that the services of more than 100 policemen have been terminated in Lahore, officials said on Tuesday.

These officials have been dismissed on the orders of the DIG-Operations after they refused to join their duty, police department sources said.

“Some of the dismissed policemen have been named as Ateeq, Zain, Ali, Sheeraz, Shan, Zubair and Adeel,” police sources said.

Police has said that the details of dismissed policemen have been written in the official record.

Police officials said that several officials had refused to join the security duty.

“Such people have no place in the department who commit negligence and remain indifferent to their duties”, police officials said.
