KARACHI: Scores of areas in Karachi received drizzling on Monday morning under the influence of the weather system in the Arabian Sea, ARY News reported.
It was drizzling in Karachi’s North Nazimabad, Baldia Town, Ittehad Town, Site Area and other localities this morning.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz has said that the Depression in the sea bringing drizzling in various areas of the city.
“A cloudy weather and formation of clouds as well as drizzling in various city areas influenced by the system in the sea,” he said.
He predicted that the weather system will not develop into a cyclonic storm. “This system likely to move towards Oman coast,” he added.
It is to be mentioned here that the system now lies near Latitude 15.6N & Longitude 64.8E over the central Arabian Sea at a distance of about 1060km southwest of Karachi, as per the PMD advisory.
Squally wind of speed 30-40 Km/hour gusting 50Km/hour are likely around the system’s center for next two days.
Fishermen have been advised to remain careful and avoid going to deep sea.
