ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Principle has agreed the proposal of handing over the control of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ( KPK) government on Sunday, ARY News reported.
Spokesman of PM House revealed that Ministry of Water and Power will officially write a letter in line with the 18th Constitutional Amendment to Chief Minister Pervez Khattak asking KPK government to take over the charge of PESCO.
Earlier, Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), Imran Khan requested the federal government for taking over charge of PESCO to sort out the electricity outages.
