Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad has notified the decision which will remain in force in the federal government seat for the next two months.

The decision also prohibits pillion riding on motorbikes and public display of arms.

The decision comes ahead of the PTI’s ‘Azadi’ March on August 14 to protest alleged rigging in the 2013 general elections and to press for electoral reforms.

According to some reports the government officials have recommended ban over cellular services in 15 cities across the country on August 14.

The government of Punjab has decided to call paramilitary Rangers from August 10 to 14 in view of the situation in the province ahead of the Azadi March.

The provincial government has decided to deploy five companies of Rangers in Lahore for maintenance of law and order, sources said.
