PESHAWAR: The FATA tribunal has termed the Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR) Commissioner’s decision in Dr. Shakeel Afridi Case as ambiguous and returned the case back to the FCR Commissioner for a clear verdict, ARY News reported on Wednesday.

Dr. Shakeel was arrested from Peshawar on May 22nd 2011 on charges of keeping contacts with banned groups and organizing fake polio campaign in Abbottabad to facilitate finding out Osama bin Laden. The court had sentenced Dr. Shakeel for 33 years in prison. He had challenged the decision.

FCR Commissioner had handed the case over to FATA tribunal. The tribunal had reserved its verdict of the case, which announced today.
