NEPRA rejects fuel adjustment charges

ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has rejected the increase of fuel adjustment charges for the month of November, ARY News reports on Tuesday.

NEPRA rejected the plea made by Central Power Purchasing Agency to increase the prices by adding 45 paisas per unit, in a meeting.

Chairman NEPRA asked for details instead of the summaries prepared by the clerks. He also ordered that the payments to the power producing companies in respect of the gas infrastructure development should be taken back .

Power tariffs were increased by 73 paisas per unit in respect of the fuel adjustment charges for the month of October.
