Migration from N.Waziristan underway

BANNU: Pakistan Army is conducting operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan while huge number of local residents has been displacing from the affected area, the deadline given to local population for migration in curfew will end today, ARY News reported.

The political administration informed that more than 1 lac people has been migrated to different areas till now which includes 23,369 men, 31,442 women and 47,176 children. Meanwhile, the registration of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan is underway.

According to sources about 39,000 people from North Waziristan were registered in Bannu on Thursday. While about 70,000 displaced persons of the Agency have already been registered in the city.

Relief camps have been established for displaced people at Baka Khel, area. All basic facilities including tents, food and medicines are being provided to IDPs in the camps.

The political administration said that deadline of migration for people residing in Razmik and Mir Ali will end today.
Furthermore, Peshawar authorities told ARY News today that all the arrangement for operation affecters including food has been completed.
